Plot
 A Day in the Country about two orphans at play when threatening storm is
appearing forcing residents to take refuge. Danilka, a boy, 8, managed to
have his hand trapped needing assistance. Luckily, Danilka’s sister Fyokla,
6, secured the town cobbler Terenty’s assistance to rescue him. The storm
passed and the rest of the afternoon, the three enjoyed the splendors of the
country. Danilka is awed by nature and its beauty.

Plot
 Keesh, living with mother, is a poor boy become a leader in igloo. His father
was a great hunter for feeding people in the village and died when he was
very young. Because of forgetting Bok who saved their lives very soon,
Keesh and his mother were forced to live in the smallest and poorest igloo
on the village.

Plot
 A man is travelling through the great North American wilderness, in
temperature of seventy degrees below zero, with only his dog for a
companion. As he crosses a frozen stream, a misstep puts his foot through
the ice. He knows he must find a way to build a fire to warm himself, or face
death.

 It is shown when the little animal and his kind betrayed Popocatepetl on his
promise of a pair of wings but instead bring his kind to the land of
Popocatepetl and live there completely ignoring Popocatepetl

 Greenwich Village in New York City

Plot
 Johnsy wants to die when the last leaf falls an she believes that she will die
during a bad storm that happens through the night. Sue wants to talk to Mr.
Behrman about Johnsy’s illness. Johnsy doesn’t want to try to get better so
when the last leaf falls off the ivy vine she says that she will go with it.
