On 062821, Monday at 1237 hours the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded
to 3275 Hillwood Lane Augusta, GA 30909 in reference to an unresponsive female
possibly from a stabbing. Upon arrival deputies located the arrested, Tory Sapp Jr.,
outside. Deputies then entered the residence, through forcing open the rear door and
located the victim, Rosalynn Sapp, lying on the floor unresponsive with at least one
apparent stab wound to the torso. Deputy Coroner William Leisey responded to the
scene and pronounced Rosalynn Sapp deceased at 1315 hours. Investigators were able
to link Tory Sapp Jr. as being the person that stabbed Rosalynn Sapp therefore causing
her death. Tory Sapp Jr. was transported and committed to the Charles B Webster
Detention Center on the charges of Murder and Possession of a Knife During the
Commission of a Crime.
