First of all, as a nursing student, we should know the importance of being moral agent, why? It is just because to know the meaning and understanding of morality we nurses have a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm. Traditionally, moral agency is assigned only to those who can be held responsible for their actions. By expecting people to act as moral agents, we hold people accountable for the harm they cause others. Another, nursing as an ethical practice requires courage to be moral, taking tough stands for what is right, and living by one's moral values. Nurses need moral courage in all areas and at all levels of nursing. 2. How does ethics become a ground for making LOGICAL and CONSISTENT decisions? Ethics is concerned with what is good for individuals and society and is also described as moral philosophy. In the other hand ethics become a ground of making logical and consistent decisions why? It is just because ethics and logic are closely related to each other. Both deal with doing things correctly. ethical principles help in dealing with several sensitive issues, that require you to think logically, with respect to emotional values as well as Ethics requires consistency in the sense that our moral standards, actions, and values should not be contradictory.
