THE GIRL FROM THE CITY

Once upon a time in a small town near the mountains located in Maroon Bells, Colorado a
beautiful girl arrived with black hair blacker than darkness, with a face that when you touch her
you would feel that you were touching cotton of how soft her skin was, but She was very shy and
quiet, so I decided to get closer little by little to be able to establish a friendship. 1 month passed
since we met and I felt how friendship was turning into something else, yes, I fell in love with that
beautiful girl but not with her beauty but with her simplicity, the way she sees life and the world.

I wanted to take her to a lake since she did not know the town, but what people did not know is
that that lake was special, on one side of it there was a house in the middle of nowhere, can you
imagine? A house in the middle of nowhere if it sounds crazy but it is! I showed her that beautiful
place, she was enchanted, it was something that she did not see in the city. After going to the lake
we went to a field where the sky could be seen in its best view, we began to play around, her face
was like that of a girl when she sees something new she was happy and we found a dog so we
continued playing, Walking on the way back I told her to go into the forest so that she could see a
passage full of trees where the leaves fell and filled the land with red leaves until we reached a
beautiful garden, she accepted and so we went, everything seemed very nice and to me It seemed
wonderful and more for having his company of course I did not tell him but in my mind I thought
about it.

The next day we went to an ice cream parlor that is in the town, it was a comfortable place, after a
while he told me that he wanted some strawberries so we went and bought strawberries, then I
remembered that there was a fair and that there were games to ride so I I said we should go, and
he said yes, and we spent the whole night there. After that day we didn't see each other for a
week because she had gone to the city, then she came back and called me, she said she wanted to
go to the beach, so we decided to go in my grandfather's car, on the road we were singing to all
lungs as if we were singers and we were in a concert; It was very funny but at the same time very
cool, we got to the beach and went into a very elegant restaurant that was very close to the
beach, I was sorry because I did not feel dressed in the best way but she looked elegant and so
beautiful With everything that was put on, it gave me security so I let myself go, and after eating
we stayed on the beach all day.

After the end of the day, we came back talking, I tried for a moment to confess my feelings to her,
but when she received the news for herself that she was going to return to the city and that she
might not return for a while, I felt my happiness vanish. like when you put a piece of cotton candy
in your mouth. I didn't say anything to her, just wish her the best for her life and her future
knowing that inside her I didn't want him to leave her, that was my last day with her.

5 years have passed since then, today I am a man with studies, a specialty, full of goals and many
dreams. I had to leave for a case for the city of a young woman who apparently wanted to accuse
her of something, so I went to do my work, when I arrived at the court and they introduced me to
the woman, I saw that it was that girl with whom I had fallen in love 5 years ago. Years ago, she
was still beautiful, her hair, her skin, everything, only now she looked more mature and very well
positioned economically. She didn't recognize me instantly, but I did, so I reminded her of the

moment we went to the lake, she immediately recognized me and hugged me, she told me to
leave the courthouse so we walked through a park where you could see the color wheel as well as
that of the fair, we had gone to that time ago. After the walk he told me that to go to his
apartment, I went without any problem, when I got there I saw how big and luxurious his
apartment was, he lives in one of the best buildings in the United States, I was very surprised, but
then I remembered that I'm there for work so I told her to tell me what happened and why they
accused her, I spent a good time telling myself and in the end I told her that I would help her. The
following week we had to go to the court and we went, when we were in the middle of the
meeting we heard shots and euphoric people, the guards immediately began to secure the court,
she came to me to take refuge and again I felt everything that 5 years ago she had felt for She was
very strange because it was a noble feeling but with more strength and more will I forgot for a
while what was happening outside. The police arrived and they were able to calm everything
down, apparently it was an attempted robbery of the bank that was next to the court, that's why
the shots and the euphoric people.

We did well in court, we won, which was what we were looking for and she was happy and
thanked me whenever she could, it was something strange and very funny because we knew each
other but we both knew that there was a connection that had not been forgotten, She wanted to
go dancing to celebrate, it was strange to me because I had never seen her dance but apparently
many things changed in her she was still a generous and respectful girl but she was no longer so
simple she was a city girl, but that did not bother me, Finally we got to the bar together with her
best friend and her boyfriend, after several drinks and dancing, I decided to confess what I felt one
day and what I still feel for her, I took courage and kissed her was the best feeling, she did not tell
me nothing but she didn't reject me either, she also kissed me, that meant that she felt and feel
the same as me.

The next day we both talked about many things and within them was the theme of both of us. I
asked her: 'Why had she made the decision to leave 5 years ago and never come back once? She
told me that she needed to improve herself and move forward for her and her family who were
going through a difficult situation at that time, she apologized and confessed what she felt for me
at that time and because she decided to look for me the last day we would meet on that beach, I
understood and I told her that it was okay that I forgave her in the end I also surpassed myself and
opened up to a world of possibilities and new things. I hug and kiss, since then we made a family
today, we are married, we bought a very nice and big house in the United States, and we have a
very beautiful son whom we love with all our strength. END
