OnAir 2500 Modulo
Studer has introduced a new modular version of the successful OnAir 2500
Broadcast console for installation in custom studio furniture.
The new model, named the OnAir 2500 Modulo, has separate modules for
fader bays and master section, along with a rack-mountable mainframe
which houses the power supply and host processing. These modules can be
recessed into a desktop for a clean installation with all cables integrated
within the furniture and the mainframe hidden appropriately.

The OnAir 2500 Modulo was introduced after demand from the market for a
recessable console.

In Switzerland, a custom version of the OnAir 2500 console was built into a
stunning desk at Radio 105 / Radio Monte Carlo, which changes colour when
it is on-air, mics are live or off-air.

The OnAir 2500 digital all-in-one Broadcast console utilises well-established

software technology derived from the highly acclaimed OnAir 3000 console
to deliver a new standard in ease-of-use for Radio Broadcast.

The fader strips include a graphical OLED (Organic LED) screen, which
contains a channel label, level and gain reduction meter and parameter
readouts, adjustable via a rotary encoder and two push buttons below the
display. OLED screens have a much wider viewing angle than LCDs, and have
much higher de nition, so operators can immediately see information much
more clearly.

The large TFT colour touch screen uses Studer’s patented Touch’n’Action
system, where only the most important functions have hardware control
elements in the channel strip making the operation of the console very
simple and stress-free.

OnAir 3000 Modulo
he Studer OnAir 3000 further extends Studer’s range of digital broadcast
consoles with a completely new design aimed at the medium to upper
segment of the radio market including private and public network broadcast
stations. The operating concept of the OnAir 3000 will be totally familiar to
Studer users, as the wide range of compact and elegant control surface
modules incorporates the same patented “Touch-n-Action” philosophy as the
highly successful Studer OnAir 2000, using colour GUI screens.

The OnAir 3000 design is based on a completely modular desk and a

separate DSP engine. The fader module includes six fader strips, and up to
eight fader modules may be tted, giving a maximum console size of 48
faders. Layout options range from a highly comprehensive engineer-
operated continuity console to a single fader panel for DJ and newsroom use
or even a PC-operated system with no physical desk controls.

The console has three main stereo mix buses plus an audition facility, four
stereo AUX buses, 16 mix-minus sends, con gurable as AUXes and three
independent studio monitoring circuits and offers full dynamics, EQ and
input/output routing in each channel.
