operate from damaged runways, small civil airfields and even
highways. Gripen’s standard-sized containerised support
system is deployable to almost any location. Gripen’s high
availability, combined with low lifetime support cost and repair
time, guarantees more time in the air than any other fighter.

Gripen's short take-off and landing (STOL) 16 m
capability means a basic road measuring

Best-in-class weaponry
Gripen‘s superior flexibility is underlined by the wide range
of weapons it can accommodate. It operates with the very
latest and best-in-class weaponry, including the MBDA
Meteor beyond visual range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM).
The Meteor can engage air targets autonomously,
at extreme ranges and in harsh electronic warfare
environments. Its ramjet propulsion system can defeat
manoeuvring and fast-moving targets thanks to its
unrivalled ‘no escape zone‘.

Unparalleled turnaround
Gripen can be airborne within just 60 seconds of the
scramble alert. Once back on the ground, turnaround
time is unmatched, requiring minimal personnel and
resources. Rearming with a full load plus refuelling takes
only 10 minutes, with just 5 ground crew required.
Gripen is always combat-ready.

True independence
As a national asset, Gripen ensures sovereignty in
all domains and supports your independence. With
maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities all located
within home borders, the system gives the Philippines
the freedom to control its own future.

Designed for cost-efficiency

From the production line to the front line, Gripen has

support items are included for low and predictable life
