Syllabus update

We have updated this syllabus. The latest syllabus is version 2, updated in February 2015.

Changes have been made to page 13. References to teacher accreditation have been removed.

We want to ensure that all teachers involved in the assessment of speaking tests can access and
benefit from the training materials and opportunities provided by Cambridge. Therefore we are
discontinuing the teacher accreditation process for Cambridge IGCSE speaking test assessors.
Guidance on the delivery and assessment of Cambridge IGCSE Speaking Tests will be available on
our Teacher Support site from January 2016.

The last exam series for which you can be accredited to assess Speaking Tests will be June
2015.

We understand that some teachers may already have applied for accreditation for the June 2016
series. If this is the case, you can still complete the accreditation process, as long as you submit your
application by 15 October 2015.
