DDG & CE(MBYTEMP 14 OF 2020-2021 SERIAL PAGE NO. 66(R) APPENDIX ‘A’ CONSULTANCY SERVICES 1. SCOPE OF WORK - 1.1 The scope of work under this agreement shall cater for complete Consultancy services and preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for creation of Integrated Material Handling Facility (IMHF) at Naval Dockyard Mumbai 1.2 The consultant shall prepare and provide technical and design engineering service, develop Detailed Project Report (DPR). Consultant shall also submit complete bills of quantities of items as per Schedule “A” 2. Design papers for all the structures shall be got proof checked by the Consultant from any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or National Institute of Technology (NIT) as approved by the Client under the Consultant’s own arrangements before finalization of drawings. A certificate to this effect that the design have been proof checked and signed by appropriate authority of such an institution not below the rank of Professor in Civil Engg and Mechanical Engg and/or Electrical Engg shall be furnished to the Client by the Consultant. The lump sum fee quoted by the Consultant in Schedule ‘A’ (BOQ) shall be deemed to be inclusive of getting the design proof checked as above. 3. The calculation sheets, drawings, reports, details of Bills of Quantities supplied by the Consultant in terms of this Agreement to the Client, shall remain the property of the Client and the Client shall have full right to use them in any manner or for any other purpose, at the Client's sole discretion 4, The consultant shall follow the standard RCC Notes, which shall be supplied by the Client while designing the structures. It the Consultant desire to include any specific note of his design other than the standard notes supplied by the Client, the Consultant shall get the same approved from GE. prior to including the same. 5 Any clarifications related to structural works, if required during actual execution stage shall be given by the consultant as and when required by the Client. Any changes in design due to site requirement that was not foreseen by the consultant or wrongly provided in drawings shall be carried ut at no extra cost to client. In case of dispute, decision of Accepting Officer shall be final. However, if any change in design is required during the construction period, the same shall be given by consultant. The extra payment for the same shall be done to the consultant at mutually agreed rates and shall be paid under the final bill, 6. Execution of the project is not covered under the scope of consultancy 7. All Bills of quantities priced as per MES Standard Schedule of Rates 2010 typed in MS Excel and drawings made in AUTO CAD shall also be submitted in Compact Disk (CD) or Digital Video Disk (DVD) in 4 copies. 8. The following aspects covered shall also be deemed to be included in the Scope of Consultancy. (Accepting Officer reserves the right to increase or decrease the scope of work during construction stage with mutual consultation with consultants and without prejudice to the total t technical responsibility of the consultants.
