Purpose is : Isolation , to isolate soft tissue and prevent any acid

leakage to the soft tissue for protection and irritation prevention.

case?

In office-bleaching
35% hydrogen peroxide gel form .

3-What type of bleaching method used in this case?

Over- the counter bleaching strips.

4-Which is the appropriate bleaching agent and its concentration to be use with this case?

10%-20% carbamide peroxide

5- What is the procedure and material used in this case?

Microabrasion, Perma compound.

6-Please mention the side effect of in office non vital bleaching and its management?

Cervical resorption
To reduce the possibility of the resorption immediately after bleaching,
a paste of calcium hydroxide powder and sterile water is placed in the
pulp chamber for 2-3 weeks .

Sodium perborate alone, made used as primary bleaching agent .

Although it may bleach more slowly, it is safer and less offensive
Periodic radiographs should be made after bleaching 1-7 years .

7-During bleaching session the patient complain of sensitivity please mention your action in
this case?

Immediate removal and utilize a product with fluoride or sodium

nitrate and schedule another meeting.

8- Please mention the name of bleaching agent in a powdered form and in which procedure
you apply it?

Sodium perborate , material of choice in most intracoronal bleaching

procedure.

9-Please specify the causes of color relapse after in office bleaching and how to avoid?
1). Outward diffusion for free radicals
2). External discoloration from drinks and food .
Over bleaching will solve this problem, will allow for some
discoloration to happen but the color still is okay.

10-Please mention the disadvantages of macroabrasion procedure?

1). Large amount of fluoride rich enamel layer is removed .

2). Technique is sensitive , if it was done wrong , results will be
catastrophic .
3). Can’t be used with children .
