Consultant : Hi guys, as I mentioned earlier this week, I already met the client and contractor for the

project. Here is the tender and contract drawing that have been constructed during our meeting. (Show
PICTURE A)

Consultant : Based on the tender and contract, I think we should start our role in drawing to make
finished drawing as soon as possible.

Architect : Yeah, that’s right. I will start first with Architectural Drawing. Here I will show all the details of
the project such as location site plan, setting out plan, elevations, sections and other details.

Engineer (Mr. Rajan): After that, I will prepare a structural drawing which consists of all the information
about the structural intervention for the house.

Consultant (Mr. Mitchell): Can you explain a little bit further about your part of drawing?

Engineer (Mr. Rajan): Sure! In my part, I will draw up important drawings and layout needed for this
project. The first one is the excavation drawing, which represents the footing excavation dimension,
column position, footing plan and grid lines of the column. Next is the column layout. The position and
orientation of columns and column reinforcement details will be explained in this drawing. Following
with plinth beam layout and lintel beam layout, where I will draw the dimensions, position and section
of plinth and lintel beam and the details of reinforcement in plinth and lintel beam. Then the roof beam
and shuttering layout follow up by the roof slab layout.

Consultant : Wow that’s a lot of explanations. For the next step I think we should draw electrical
drawings.

Electrical Engineer : That’s right. For my part in the drawing, I will prepare a full electrical drawing
needed in this project where I will input all the details of electrical fixtures, location of switches, light
and others. It also represents the load calculation, tapping for electricity, wiring path and other
interventions such as AC and UPS and its components.

Consultant :Okay, I hope we can finish the drawing in a short time. Thank you for our meeting today!

One week later.. All of the drawings which are architectural drawing, structural drawing and electrical
drawing are already done. Refer to PICTURE B for some examples of drawing.
