FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
The AC drive is equipped with the cooling fan. Cooling air enters the drive through the
air inlets in the door. The direction of the airflow is upwards. The dissipation power of
the switchboard is about 2% of the rated power of the switchboard.
REASONS FOR THE CHANGE:
The manufacturer’s estimation for the operational time of the cooling fan (EBMPAPST
R2E225-BD92-12) is about 61769 hours @ 40 degrees Celsius. The major problems
are caused by the failure of the bearings.

Specifications subject to change without notice.

THE RESULTING EFFECT:
Ageing of the electronic cards, the components and the connections results in:
1. Increased vibration due to the imbalance of the cooling fan (can last for several
months)
2. Increased temperature due to the stopped cooling fan (overheating in about 15
minutes).
