Abstract:- Telepresence is the technology that allows the user or
person to perform actions as like originally or physically in a virtual at a distinct location. Mixed reality is the combination of real world and virtual world to form a new visualization where both physical objects and digital objects will be present and interact in real time. In other words it enables the local user to interact with a remote user or person through full body avatars in their own space or room. This technology reduces time as well as money for travelling from one distant place to another place . Mixed reality is capable of understanding real world when the user interact to the surrounding. Mixed reality telepresence is the combination of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Here we were mainly concentrating on realism issue and 3-D reconstruction methods with the help of depth sensors which are form of 3D range finder. In this paper we are going to find some of the limitations of mixed reality telepresence too which includes the problems like limited shared view of low resolution and lack of realism. In telepresence the position, movement, action, voice etc of the users is sensed and transmitted to another users remote location for full body avatars. In working Mixed reality includes many steps like device, space, object recognition. It also includes tracking, mapping recognition, visual and portable recognition. Mixed reality includes many practical applications like, where a human being is exposed to hazardous situations are recognised as suitable for telepresence. Mining, military operations and military training, education, rescue of victims, disposal of bomb, deep sea exploration, field of design, entertainment (like gaming) were some of the applications of telepresence. Mixed reality technology now a days experiencing a rapid growth recognition due its benifitsin the business field.
