Needs Assessment
Needs assessment is the first activity in the resource

scheduling and standards for this training project. Here,

the proponents will conduct a survey on small businesses

within Baguio City by asking them of their current

challenges and needs and how best they think these issues

can be resolved for the betterment of their organization as

a whole. We will also determine how jobs and industries are

changing and by knowing this, we can better ascertain both

individual and organizational needs. Thus the training

program will be an exercise in futility if without the

knowledge of businesses current needs that needs

improvement.

Venue

After determining the training needs of businesses, the

next step is to choose a suitable venue for the training.

The number of businesses and individuals that signified

their intention to participate will determine the type of

venue to be used and its accessibility to many.

Budget

The budget here is an estimation of the total amount of

cost that is expected to be used for the entire training

program. The budget will cover costs such as training venue,

materials, snacks and other miscellaneous costs.

Audience
The audiences are also important stakeholders for the

successful implementation of the training program. For this

part, we will be considering their length of tenure in their

respective organizations, and the kind of work they do. An

understanding of these questions will assist the proponents

to develop a better training program. For instance, if we

can determine that the participants are coming from

different jobs discussions can touch on a variety of

disciplines.

Communication

If we are able to determine the type of audience for

the training program, the next thing to do is to develop how

the training will be effectively communicated. The

communication here involves both oral and written. Written

letters will be sent to businesses and individuals before

and after the training. While delivering the letters, the

proponents will verbally reiterate to the expected

participants about the issues the training program intends

to address as well as the benefits they will get from

participating.

Training Proper
After communications have been sent and replies

received, next phase is the training proper. Team of experts

from different fields of business will be hired and will be

the ones to engage and train the participants based on the

different issues earlier identified in the needs assessment

survey. All attendees are expected to physically participate

during the training proper as there might be some issues

that may arise during the course of the training not

previously mentioned in the training program.

Measuring Effectiveness of Training

Once the training is completed, it is vital to examine

if the training objectives were met or if there are areas

that need further improvement. In doing do, we will evaluate

the training program based on the following key questions:

1. What was the participants’ reaction to the training?

2. Was participants knowledge and skills gained

improved and if so, what is the extent?

3. Did participants’ behavior change as a result of the

training?

4. What benefits to individuals and their

organizations resulted from the training?
