The Eucharist is a re-enactment of Jesus's last supper where he shared bread and wine with his disciples before his crucifixion. During Catholic mass, priests consecrate bread and wine which parishioners consume in memory of Jesus's sacrifice. While the video clip showed an amplified depiction of Jesus presiding over the Eucharist with angels, the true essence of receiving communion is feeling cleansed and deepened in one's faith through consuming Christ's body and blood. Though the pandemic has hindered in-person masses and communion, one's faith can remain strong through online services and by remembering that receiving the Eucharist symbolizes salvation and connection to God.

The Eucharist is a re-enactment of the Last Supper, the final meal that Jesus Christ shared with his disciples before his arrest, and eventual crucifixion. At the meal Jesus ate bread and wine and instructed his disciples to do the same in memory of him. The prayers and readings in a Eucharistic service remind those taking part of that final meal and of the solemn words and actions of someone standing at the edge of death. The people taking part drink a sip of wine (or grape juice) and eat a tiny piece of some form of bread, both of which have been consecrated. In the short clip we have watched, it conveyed how the Eucharist in a catholic mass is being done. Moreover, it exhibits the depth of it that is perpetrated in a catholic mass. In a way, it depicts angels walking through the altar and the priest manifesting as Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Furthermore, Hence, Eucharist is considered as a sacred practice. Thus, it deepens our connection to our Lord and it symbolizes salvation through the body of Christ. One that caught my attention in the short clip is how the video showcased the amplification of the Holy Eucharist. Whereas, it appeared that Jesus led the Holy Eucharist as well as there are angels beside Him. The people in the video were left astounded as they saw the whole scene. If I were in their situation and if that is real, I would cry and give all my worship, because I know that kind of scenario is not really occurring in real life. However, there is nothing not to like in the video, for how I wish that whole enactment is real. As a Born-Again Christian we also utilize the Holy Eucharist. However, we only do it every first Sunday of the month. Unlike in Roman Catholic, it is done every Sunday. As I remembered in our discussion in this subject, that the priest is manifesting as Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. To compare the Eucharist in both Christian and Catholic Church, I presumed that it is the same, in words and also the objective of the Eucharist and like the priest, our Pastor also represents Jesus Christ. As I both experienced these two, I saw and felt the real deal of the Holy Eucharist. It is not just eating the bread and wine nevertheless it is also the inception of your faith to God and yourself in receiving the body of Christ. As well as, when I receive the body and blood of Christ, I also feel that I am cleansed and saved. In dénouement, Eucharist is considered as the most important part of the mass. Churches also agree that participation in the Eucharist enhances and deepens the communion of believers not only with Christ but also with one another. Thus, to be honest, I myself, intend to forget the true essence of the Holy Eucharist. Sometimes, it is just to receive and eat. In addition, the pandemic today hinders us from attending the actual mass/service and also receiving the body of Christ in person. However, yes, it does affect my spiritual life in the slightest way. However, I know that my faith is stronger than this pandemic, as well as I believe in the bible verse from 2 Corinthians 5:7 “for we live by faith, not by sight”. In addition, our church always makes the Eucharist as exceptional as it is, even though it is perpetrated online. And again, Hence, Eucharist is considered as a sacred practice. Thus, it deepens our connection to our Lord and it symbolizes salvation through the body of Christ. As well as, in the true heart of receiving, I am satisfied for I, the daughter of our Lord, is preparing for eternal life.
