SCIENTISTS OF BIG HISTORY by Steve Anson

Albert Einstein – (1879-1955) was born in Germany.

Einstein revolutionized physics with his studies of
relativity which show how matter, energy, space and
time are connected. First,  he predicted the existence of
black holes.

Galileo-(1564-1642) was born in Italy .He discovered

the four largest satellites of Jupiter, today known as the
Galilean moons.  

Copernicus-(1473-1543) He was a Polish astronomer.

His studies of the orbits of the planets revealed that the
sun is at the center of the solar system.   

Sir Isaac Newton- (1642-1727) was an English

physicist and mathematician. He proposed the laws of
motion that explain how forces move objects. He
explained how white colour is made of many colours .
He explained the gravitational force. 

Stephen Hawking-(1942-2018) He moved into the

study of quantum gravity and quantum mechanics. He
showed that black holes emit radiation known as
Hawking radiation which may continue until they
exhaust their energy.
