Thanksgiving prayer for the family

Lord God,

I give you all the members of our family. You know them all so well and love them all.
I ask that you would cover us with a rainbow of hope.

Hope that draws us together to work out our differences.

Hope that helps us to celebrate together and care for one another.
Hope that rides like a banner in our lives and watches over us wherever we go.
Hope that overcomes adversity and gathers strength to overcome.
Hope that guides us and gives us vision for our future alone and together.
Hope filled with love.
Hope that fuels faith.
Hope that breathes peace.

May our family live in you

Underneath your promises.

Amen.

Short Thanksgiving Prayer

Lord, thank you for walking with us through the seasons of our lives.
For the winter, when we are held safe in your arms through the darkness.
For the hope of spring, as we are filled with new promise and life.
For summer time, full of warmth and colour
And for autumn days as leaves fall to seed new growth.
You are always with us.

Amen.

We thank you for our brothers and sisters of all ages, all races, all nations and all faiths.

We thank you for the multitude of ways that you call us to steward the gifts of creation
and to serve others in your name.

We thank you for this day, for the companionship we share and the bountiful goodness
of the bread we break together.

God of all goodness, we pray in thanks for your presence among us as we gather
together, and your promise to be with us now and always.  AMEN.

Help us to always be
thankful and ready to share what you
have given us, so that all
people might know the ever
lasting love and kindness
you give us in Christ.
Let No Evil Befall Us

O God, You are the preserver of men, and the keeper of our lives. We commit ourselves
to Your perfect care on the journey that awaits us. We pray for a safe and auspicious
journey.

Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. Let no evil befall us, nor
any harm come to our dwelling that we leave behind. Although we are uncertain of what
the days may bring, may we be prepared for any event or delay, and greet such with
patience and understanding.

Bless us O Lord, that we may complete our journey safely and successfully under Your
ever watchful care.
