Resistor are the most common circuit element and it can be used in a variety of

simple circuits.

1. Current limiting - It limits the current to avoid burnouts in circuits or other

circuit elements.
2. Voltage divider - It divides the voltage to lower the voltage at the output.
3. Tells us an expression that shows how a current is divided in a circuit.
4. Multi-range analog voltmeter/ammeter - It helps in measuring large current or
the voltage with a measuring tool.
