    Electrical energy use by month was analyzed for two chiller systems in Cairo, Egypt. System I used a centrifugal chiller and System II used an absorption chiller. System I used the most energy in the summer months of July, August, and September when energy usage peaked over 300,000 kWh per month. System II used less energy overall with peaks still in the summer but not exceeding 200,000 kWh per month. The analysis was conducted to compare the energy costs of operating the two different chiller systems over a 25 year period in Cairo.
