We sincerely hope you are doing well. Despite the challenging times, we at the USLS Political
Science Society stand firm with our dedication to our vision of shaping a generation of socially active,
politically aware, and God-fearing men and women. A generation of Artians, Lasallians, and Filipinos
who are committed to defend and protect marginalized members of society, who promote justice and
human rights, and who lead a moral and principled life for the future generation to emulate.

We are committed to accomplishing our meaningful vision even in the face of global disruptions,
and in the spirit of this pursuit we will be launching an event in partnership with Human Alliance
Philippines International (HAPI) entitled Pagdumdum: Istorya sang mga Negrosanon on February 22,
2020 at 14:00 to 17:00 PST. Padgumdum will be a panel discussion where local speakers from Negros
Island will share their harrowing yet inspiring experiences during the Dekada ‘70 Martial Law. Our desire
is to create a safe space for dialogue between those who've experienced the whips and scores of history
and those who be will shaping their own historical narrative in the future. Our goal is to commemorate
the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution by highlighting the stories of the Negrosanon victims and to
remind the Negrosanon youth the importance of upholding the rule of law, justice, and the truth.

In this light, we would like to humbly invite you, our graceful and very supportive College of Arts
and Science Dean, Dr. Rowena Banes, to be one of our special reactors to a five to eight minute
response to the harrowing stories of Atty. Neri Colmenares, Dr. Judy Taguiwalo, and Sir. Ken Lopez . We
truly believe that your support could significantly help us ensure the success of our endeavor. We hope
