Mengenai Verbs

i) Verbs adalah kata kerja, yakni perkataan-perkataan yang menunjukkan perbuatan:

Ali kicks the ball.

Sarah bakes the cake.

My brothers walk to school.

ii) Verbs menerangkan bila perbuatan itu dilakukan :

a) Present Tense untuk perbuataan yang selalu dibuat

contoh: eat, sleep, study

b) Continuous Tense untuk perbuatan yang sedang dilakukan

contoh: eating, sleeping, studying

c) Past Tense untuk perbuatan yang telah dibuat (semalam, minggu lalu dll.)

contoh: ate, slept, studied

d) Future Tense untuk perbuatan yang akan dibuat

contoh: I shall eat, He will sleep, They will study

e) Perfect Tense untuk perbuatan yang sudah selesai dibuat pada waktu kini

contoh: has eaten, has slept, has studied

Formasi Perfect Tense adalah seperti berikut: has/have/had + past participle verb
(eg: eaten, slept, studied)

Peringatan: Semua ayat Inggeris yang baik dan lengkap mesti mempunyai verb.
