Sociometric mapping exercise

Recommendation:

Identify the key people and structures within which the policy changes will be enacted ie
who talks to whom about assessment?

The system of roles within the landscape of assessment was mapped by the project team
during the early stages of the project. The key outcome considered useful of this mapping
was just how powerful the T&L chairs actually are, and how the same kind of process might
help them to realise this.

A workshop with school T&L Chairs was held during which this same
sociometric process was introduced to the T&L Chairs. Again, this exercise
highlighted just how central is the T& L Chair role to assessment within
university social and organisational structures. Below is the diagram.
