THE AMERICAN AND SERBIAN CODES OF ETHICS FOR ENGINEERS: A

COMPARISON

Abstract: The Code of Ethics for Engineers of the American National Society for Professional Engineers
and the Code of Professional Behavior for the members of the Association of Engineers and Technicians
of Serbia are given in the paper in their integral forms. They are further comparatively analyzed, and
their similarities and differences are interpreted, especially their genesis and enactment. Their
application is also discussed.
