The answers to the questions below may require that additional information be obtained.

Collection Questions

1) At what altitude will the dust collector be installed?


2) What is the material that is being collected?
3) Is the material being collected Hygroscopic or Agglomerative?
4) Is the dust Explosive or Flammable?
5) Is the dust Abrasive?
6) What is the humidity and temperature of the air that will be passing through the
collector? Is the dust generated in a controlled environment?
7) What is the application or process that is generating the dust?
8) What is the required CFM?
9) What is the expected system loss, in inches of water gauge?
10) Is the process continuous (6 – 24 hours per day), or intermittent (4 hours or less)?
11) How many pounds of dust are expected to be collected in one hour/day/week?
12) Verify the customers operating voltage. (ie. 460/60/3, 380/50/3, 120/60/1)
13) Determine the need of any ancillary equipment. (ie. AR Inlets, EDAP’s, Fans, etc)
