Armadale Young Writers’ Awards

Online Writing Workshops


Well known author Mark Greenwood (and his
dog Banjo) present two online writing workshops
filled with writing tips and encouragement to
enter the Armadale Young Writers' Awards.
Mark is a prolific award winning author of fiction
and non fiction books for children including
Simpson and his donkey, the History
Mysteries series. His latest books are
Moonwalkers and The Book of Stone.
Workshop 1:
Available from Wednesday 19 May
This creative writing session will cover creativity,
planning, character development and more.
Workshop 2:
Available from Wednesday 2 June
This session will cover polishing, editing, revision
and more as you get ready to submit your entry.

these workshops and learn all about the competition. These are suitable for
anyone interested in creative writing including teachers and parents.
The Armadale Young Writers’ Awards is a creative writing (prose only)
competition which is open to students who reside or attend school in the City
of Armadale and are in years 3 - 12. We look forward to receiving your entry!
