Movie Review
"ENOUGH”

1. PLOT: What was the movie about?

The film that is being used for the movie analysis is “Enough”, this movie was chosen
due to the fact that it is based on domestic violence towards women. The movie begins with in
Los Angeles diner were a waitress named slim works with her best friend Ginny. While working
her shift slim has a customer that starts harassing her over the name she has, but the
companion of the annoying customer defends slim, which in turn starts a romance, later to
become a marriage between the two. The couple is later blessed with a daughter they name
Gracie, and at the beginning the marriage seems to be a fairy tale out of a story book. The fairy
tale becomes a nightmare as time moves forwards for the couple.

2. THEMES AND TONE: What was the central goal of the movie?

Enough is a thriller film which also details an abusive relationship. Explaining the
concept of the film, there’s twists and turns and it's exciting but it also has a message, which is
what attracted me to it in the first place, which is an empowering thing. Describing its message,
“If you're in these negative situations, negative relationships, whatever, you can get out”. The
power to get out of those things is always within yourself. That's the message of the movie."

3. CHARACTERS: Did you like how the characters portrayed their parts? paragraph

Of course, the story would not have turned out so well without the multiple impressive
performances that carry it all the way through. The real strength of this film, though, is not
necessarily the story itself, but how it is presented. The screenplay is incredibly well-written,
creating characters that amaze us, disappoint us and deceive us all the while being a part of an
interesting and complex story.

4. RELEVANCE: What was the impact of the movie in your learnings about abuse and
violence?

The impact of the movie in my learnings about abuse and violence within relationships is
not as rare as some people seem to imagine. Abuse and violence impacts families, individuals,
and working standards. Nonetheless, education and psychological healthcare initiatives prove
vital to mitigating the issue. Thus, both victims and perpetrators should be educated, guided,
and counseled regarding mitigating both violence and its primary causes.
