INFO SHEET GERMAN INTEGRATION COURSES

At the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor’s “Institute for Adult Education” (VHS OÖ) you can visit German courses.
The courses meet the legal regulations in Austria and comprise
multiple modules (parts). If you already have knowledge of German,
you can also join in higher modules.
A course with 75 teaching units (UE) costs € 540,00.
But you only have to pay € 190,00 yourself.
The remaining costs are paid for you
by the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour
the Upper Austria Regional Government
and the Austrian Federal Government, if
* you have your primary residence in Upper Austria
you can provide evidence of your residency –
please present your residency confirmation form
to the course management –
(see the example of residence confirmation: “Meldezettel”)
and
* if you attend class at least 75% of the time.
That is to say, if the course is held on 20 evenings, you must be present on at least 15 evenings! If you do not
reach the minimum classroom presence requirement of 75%, you will be required to pay € 350,00 extra.
