SEEKER SPR Quick-Start Guide

With Touch Screen Feature

STEP 1: TURN Power ON

STEP 2: From the Main Menu, touch Settings

STEP 3: Set Up the Antenna

1. From the Settings menu, touch Antenna

2. If necessary, select the correct Antenna. Touch the down arrow to
change the setting.

3. Check the Pulse Position and Time Varying Gain settings. If leakage
pulse is present and the height of leakage pulse is correct (as in above
example), touch the OK button.

If leakage pulse is absent or cut, touch the left and right Pulse Position
arrow buttons to move the radar trace until it is properly positioned.
To adjust the height of the leakage pulse, PRESS the START GAIN
up and down arrow buttons under Time Varying Gain dialog box.

When the leakage pulse has been correctly adjusted, touch OK.

STEP 4: Select the Color Palette

1. From the Settings menu, touch Palette

2. Touch the Palette setting desired.

3. Touch OK

STEP 5: Set Radar Parameters

1. From the Main Menu, touch New Acquisition

2. Default Settings:
Data Folder and Filename
Mode = Line
Trigger = Encoder

To change the Single defaults, touch the Scan Setup button.

To keep the defaults, simply touch OK to begin your survey.

3. Choose the selections suitable for your survey like Material Type and
Material State.

Note: The Depth Scale is affected by the material type selection.

4. Touch the OK button

5. You will be returned to the New Acquisition screen. Touch the OK


button to begin your survey.

STEP 6: Starting and Stopping a Radar Survey

1. PRESS MONITOR button to start radar scan.


(NOTE: Cart must be pushed forward in order to receive radar data.)

2. PRESS STOP button to end radar scan.

3. PRESS CLOSE button to return to the Main Start Menu.

STEP 7: Ending a Radar Survey

From the Main Start Menu, PRESS EXIT button to end the SPR session.
