INTRODUCTION

In this life, people definitely already heard and read different kind of stories either fiction
or non-fiction even its illogical. For this case, some people may expect that folk tales and
folklores are different by its meanings but actually its quite same. The stories were spread
from mouth to mouth. This is how every story has been told from generation to generation to
serve as a lesson in life. However, not all of these stories are true, its may been fabricated
by older people as a medium to deliver advices. Folklores also generated different themes.
Example, for these three folklores, its consist different storylines but the same theme, which
is love. Love can be defined as a strong attraction that can be feel when you like someone or
something (Oxford Dictionary,2012). From these folklores, its conveyed that love can make
someone appreciate other people, offering care to others and giving equal affection.

BODY
First, in this life, there are various types of people that normal human can see, either
someone that nice or not. Not only that, people can also perceive others’ character that
close to them such as appreciative. Appreciative is or showing gratitude or pleasure. This
personality will make others felt that they were important to another person. Furthermore, if
people take a good care of others, so this will make them remembered their helps. Example,
in Momotaro which is Japanese Folklore, it shows that Momotaro love other people. It can
be seen when Momotaro eager want to go to ghosts island as he want to fight them. Even,
he only wanted to go alone but he believed that he can defeat all ghosts. From this story, it
proven that Momotaro appreciate the grandparent’s love because they raised him very well.
So, Momotaro wanted to pay them back by restoring the peace for the villagers.

Next, love also offers care to others. It is because cares to other people can make others
realised that themselves are vital to the society. So, they will not feel down and give up to
continue their lives. Not only that, when someone care to other people, it can make others
willing to sacrifice anything as want to show their loves. Besides, care can be shows when
someone appreciate others’ help, it will make other people happier. Example, for Philipino
Folklore which is The Myth on the Undying Love of Sampaguita, people can see Sampa who
is the slave and Guita who is the princess ran together to the forest to hide from King. So,
this proven that they care to each other that makes their love stronger and cannot be broken
by other people. Besides, even the King do not approve their relationship, they still fight for
their love as it is not wrong. From this story, people will learned that love are something to
fight for as long as the lovers care to each other.
 In addition, love can also lead to equal affection. Affection is an attitude of mutual
respect and love for all of God's creations both living and dead as loving oneself. So, if
someone truly loves other people, they will always remembered them mostly because their
kindness and good characters. Even their body are apart but their souls always stay
together. Equal affection can also make others touched. This can be seen in Malaysian
Folklore which is Tanggang. It is because the affection that showed by Tanggang’s parent
are very pure and cannot be denied. This can be shows when Si Deruma and Si Talang
brought Tanggang’s favourite food even they did not know Tanggang will accept it or not.
Furthermore, despite of Tanggang’s arrogance, Si Deruma and Si Talang still want to meet
their son as they missed him. So, lesson that can be learned from this story is parents’
affections are unbeatable.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, love are very important in our life as it can represent the symbolic of our
appreciation to others. Not only that, equal affection from parents, can reflect their sacrifices
to us. As they really love us no matter how bad we are. In addition love is something that is
very valuable in our life. So, people must instill the value of love to make their life happier
and meaningful. Besides, these folklores show us that, even it just a simple but it can make
people learn many lesson to face this unequal life.
