EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This summer project report on Bank Of Kathmandu Ltd is done with the objectives
of knowing financial position of the bank and economic performance of the bank
through the analysis of the financial data.
The research methodology adapted for this study contains various methods and
techniques are convenience and appropriate for analyzing the data and information
collected. The research methodology used in this research includes personal
observation, secondary data collection, annual report and interview.
This report mainly contains four phases or chapters namely as Introduction of the
Bank, SWOT Analysis, Financial analysis and Findings and Recommendations.
The first phase of the project is done by the study background, objectives of the
study and it also explains the research methodology used in this research and the
limitations of the study.
The second phase of the project explains about the history of banking, about BOK
and its organizational structure, and services provides to its customers.
The third phase is done to find the financial performance of the bank through the
ratio analysis. It phase analyze the various environmental factors that directly and
indirectly affect the working environment of the organization and to identify the
strength, weakness, opportunity, and threats by SWOT analysis of the proposed
organization.
The fourth phase of the project explains the Findings and Recommendation and
summary and conclusion. During the study I have concluded various positive as
well as negative findings of the organization. The proposed organization has very
strong name in the market and its major concern is to provide easy financial
services. The employee of the organization are well trained, well experience and
loyal to the organization. The organization has got negative findings as well that it
is limited branches in the urban area and no branch in the rural areas.

The organization is not only involved in gaining the corporate objectives rather it
also concerned towards the social responsibilities and ethics. Therefore the overall
performance of the organization should try to utilize its resources in interest
gathering sectors for as to run the business operation more effectively.
