TOPIC: HARMONIC COEXISTENCE AT SCHOOL

The act of educating is itself a relational event that occurs between two people, since at school, in addition
to studying, one learns to live with those who will later become friends, neighbors or co-workers in
society.
When speaking of coexistence, in this case, school coexistence, we are aware of the complexity of the
concept, as well as the difficulty of building a culture of peace in the centers, based on the learning of
values such as dialogue, tolerance, solidarity, respect for human rights and the permanent search for
justice, among others. Living together means living with each other on the basis of certain social
relationships and values, necessarily subjective, within the framework of a specific social context (Jares,
2001). For Ortega, Mínguez and Saura (2003) the pedagogical proposals to overcome the conflict in the
classrooms and promote a healthy coexistence necessarily go through the school and family
intervention in the democratic learning of norms, in the personal knowledge favoring the acquisition of

communication skills. School coexistence is the ability that people have to live with others in a
