Administration Division

Administration Division has co-existed with the inception of Ministry of


Home Affairs. The Division is responsible for the handling all administrative
matters, allocation of work among various Division of the Ministry. It is the
Nodal Division for matters relating to Right to Information Act, 2005. The
Division also deals with Govt Building Security and administration of
Secretariat Security Force (SSF). The Admn Division broadly deals with:

1) Transfer/posting of officers and staff in MHA

2) General House keeping

3) Security of Government buildings / Cadre Management of


Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Reception Officers.

4) Transfer/Postings in 15 cadre units (Section Officer and below)


which includes PMO, Cabinet Secretariat, etc.

5) Deputation/Training & Post Retirement matters of officers and


staff in MHA

6) RTI matters (MHA)

7) Cash Management and Disbursement of Pay & other allowances


and other cash related functions.
