Method statement
(Must be attached with HOT Work permit)
• Work permit must be displayed at site
• All required PPE as mentioned in the permit must be
followed to avoid any unfortunate incident
• Area to be barricaded to avoid any disturbances and to
avoid any unfortunate incident
• Fire Extinguishers to be kept beside
• Remove all combustible materials within 11meters(35ft)
from where HOT work is performing or to be cover with
flame proof tarpaulins or other acceptable shieldings,For
Elevated HOT Work this distance is extended to 15 meters
(50ft)
• Flammable gases and vapor level checked/monitored
through LEL meter to verify that concentration are less
than 2% of the lower explosion limit.
• Floors and surrounding must be clear of combustible
dust accumulations including lint, PET sugar or
carbonated dust.
• Fire watcher must watch fire even after 30 minutes of the
welding job
• All debris must be cleaned as soon as the job gets over
• Job must be completed within the time period mentioned
in the permit. No job can be executed beyond 12hours.
Fresh permit to be issued in case of urgency
• In case of any unfortunate incident pl rush to nearest FA
box and take help from designated First Aiders
• In case of any emergency pl rush to nearest assembly
point
 
 
N.B Security will stop the job in case of found discrepancies
in the HOT WORK Activity (Not wearing PPE,unsafe activities.
Lunch time should not exceed beyond 30minute else fresh
permit to be issued
