The report is a small step towards understanding Corporate

Social Responsibility initiatives taken up by major steel
companies like Tata Steel, Steel Authority of India Ltd and JSW
Steel Ltd in India.

Synopsis Industry Analysis Report

 Introduction

It is being observed that companies are slowly understanding

the importance of being socially responsible, whether it’s
being clean water supply, quality education for the poor or
environment protection. Actually, CSR builds a positive
reputation of the company and positively affect the bottom
lines. Customers are preferring socially responsible companies
during their purchases so that part of their spending may
somehow passed onto the bottom of the pyramid.

Steel Industry is considered to be the backbone of the Indian

economy. It is also one of the most resource-intensive and
polluting industry. We will also understand how behemoths of
steel industry are sustaining with surrounding communities.

Methodology

I will be making a detailed report on how top steel companies

are working towards the betterment of the society and at the
same time improving customer foot print. I will also study how
formal Corporate Social Responsibility programs of these
companies are boosting morale of their employees who do not
want just a paycheck.
