THE STORY SO FAR
After lying dormant for a number of years, Godzilla returns! But
waiting for him is a new weapon and an old enemy. The Cryog
commander has stayed in hiding, building a series of new
Mechagodzilla robots and disguising himself as a Russian industrialist,
convincing the governments of the world to fund his project. To test
the lethal capabilities of his robot, he sets his sights on Anguirus.
When Lucy Casprell and a team of CKR (Counter-Kaiju Reactionary
forces) troops arrive at the scene to investigate, they discover that
someone or something is hunting the monsters.

Meanwhile, Godzilla surfaces in Boston, and the Mechagodzilla units

are sent to intercept him. Commander Woods is in Boston as well,
visiting an old friend and gets caught in the middle of the battle. After
dispatching the robots, a weakened Godzilla is captured by the evil
Mecha-King Ghidorah and taken away by air.

In Russia, Godzilla and Anguirus team up to defeat Mecha-King

Ghidorah and the Mechagodzilla units, sending Mecha-King Ghidorah
fleeing into space along with its Cryog commander. The twins
Minette and Mallory, who helped control Mecha-King Ghidorah, are
injured during the battle.

ARTIST CONCEPTS
By now you’ve met the latest monster to square off against Godzilla, the Trilopod. But rather than have a single new monster,
the idea was that the Trilopods are species of creature with the ability to absorb a monster’s genetic material and then morph
their bodies into a hybrid of that host monster. Once the greenlight was given for a new monster to be introduced into the
book, the team worked closely with one another to create something unique, but most importantly, menacing. The results
are shown here on the following pages. The Trilopods have two stages really: one being a larval stage (the Alpha) that
attaches itself to a host and harnesses genetic material, and a larger creature (the Beta) which changes into the hybrid of
the host monster.
