Starting a business as the owner of the largest milkman named Melkrey in Ambarawa,

Semarang Regency, Central Java, this is the starting point for the business journey of a
husband and wife couple, Mr. Siem Thiam Hie (January 28, 1897 – April 12, 1976) and Mrs.
Rakhmat Sulistio (August 13, 1897 – 14). February 1983) began. In 1930, the couple started
a bakery under the name Roti Muncul. In the same year, Mrs. Rakhmat Sulistio began to mix
the cold herbal medicine which is now known as Tolak Angin.

1935

Armed with the expertise of Mrs. Rakhmat (Go Djing Nio) in processing herbs and
spices, the couple decided to open a herbal medicine business in Yogyakarta.

1940

Tolak Angin in the form of godokan is starting to be marketed year

1951

Established a simple company with the name Sido Muncul which means “Dreams
Come True” on Jalan Mlaten Trenggulun, Semarang.

1975

A Limited Liability Company was formed under the name PT Sido Muncul Herbal
and Pharmaceutical Industry (previously in the form of CV in 1970).

1977

Sido Muncul built a modern herbal medicine factory with an area of 30 hectares in
Klepu, Bergas District, Ungaran. The construction of the factory was marked by the laying of
the first stone by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on August 21, 1997.

2000

Sido Muncul inaugurated the new factory on November 11, 2000. The inauguration
was carried out by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia,
Dr. dr. Achmad Sujudi MHA. At the same time, Sido Muncul received two certificates
equivalent to pharmaceuticals, namely Good Manufacturing Practices of Traditional
Medicines (CPOTB) and Good Manufacturing Practices of Medicines (CPOB).
2004

Produces more than 250 kinds of products. Our featured products are Reject Wind,
Reject Sciatica, Bima Energi Nails, Alang Sari Plus, Sido Muncul Ginger Coffee, Bima
Ginseng Coffee, Ginger Milk, Complete Herbal Medicine, and Turmeric Acid.

2013

Sido Muncul has 109 distributors throughout Indonesia. Various Sido Muncul
superior products have also been exported to several Southeast Asian countries. On
December 18, 2013, Sido Muncul was officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with
the issuer code “SIDO”.

2019

Sido Muncul obtained halal certificates from the Indonesian Ulema Council for 274
products. The certificate received on March 6, 2019 is divided into four types of products,
namely Herbal Medicine, Supplements and Supplementary Ingredients, Beverages and
Beverage Ingredients and sweets.
