When you express a general condition and the result of that condition, you use:
Cuando expresas una condición general y el resultado de esta condición, tú usas:

If + present tense (condition), present tense (result)


If I am tired, I sleep.

The position of the clauses does not change the meaning. La posición de las cláusulas no cambia el significado.
I sleep If I am tired
result condition

Do not use a comma (,) to separate the two clauses if the result clause is first as in the last example.
