COVID-19 RECOMMENDATIONS

The ongoing spread of COVID-19 has begun to increase, primarily along unvaccinated populations in
our community. We anticipate that we will continue to see increasing case, hospitalization, and death
rates as we move into late summer and early fall. The return to school this fall will present an
environment for large numbers of individuals with limited vaccine uptake to gather regularly, which
will further facilitate the spread of COVID-19.

While we recognize and respect the laws limiting public health restrictions and requirements, Bear
River Health Department is committed to offering evidence-based public health guidance to
individuals and communities to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The current department guidance is
as follows:
1 – Get your COVID-19 vaccination as soon as you are able
2 – If you are not fully vaccinated (14 days past the final dose)
A – Wear a mask when in indoor, public places
B – Quarantine and get tested if exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-
19 (note that fully vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine)
3 – Stay home if you are sick
4 – Get tested if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
5 – Practice good hand hygiene

These guidelines, when followed, can help reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19 in our
community.
