Define Environment.

The sum total of all surroundings of a living organism,

including natural forces and other living things, which
provide conditions for development and growth as well
as of danger and damage.

What is Environmental Studies?

Environmental studies are the scientific study of the
environmental system. It includes not only the study of
physical and biological characters of the environment
but also the social and cultural factors and the impact
of man on environment. It help us understand
the importance of our environment and teaches us to
use natural resources more efficiently and embrace a
sustainable way of living. It enables us to know the
behaviour of organisms under natural conditions and
the interrelationship between organisms in population
and communities.
