Ethics in technology is a sub-field of ethics addressing the ethical questions specific to the

Security: With tools like the internet, hackers have found it very easy to hack into any computer
or system as long as it is connected on internet. Hackers can easily use an IP (Internet Protocol)
address to access a user’s computer and collect data for selfish reasons. Also the wide spread of
internet cookies which collect information whenever we use the internet , has exposed IT users to

networks and photo bookmarking sites, many original creators of these works are losing the
credibility of their works, because users of IT can easily gain access and share that data with
friend’s works.
Citizen journalism: Citizen Journalism is a concept describing citizens who wish to act as a
news and information”. The internet has provided society with a modern and accessible public
space. Due to the openness of the internet, there are discernible effects on the traditional
profession of journalism.
Pregnancy screening technology: For over 40 years, newborn screening has been a triumph of
the 20th century public health system. Through this technology, millions of parents are given the
opportunity to screen for and test a number of disorders, sparing the death of their children or
complications such as mental retardation. However, this technology is growing at a fast pace,
disallowing researchers and practitioners from being able to fully understand how to treat
