FINAL ELECTIVE PROJECT: INITIAL CONCEPT

1) Solo or Partners
Answer: Solo.

2) Project Description
Answer: Among the two selections stated to our project, I will use the First Option. This
option is about finding the two variables with the same type on the provided dataset,
making a Correlation function, building a Scatter Plot, and an interpretation of them.
3) Dataset Description
Answer: As for my dataset, I retrieved it from Data.world. The game is Starcraft 2, and its
type is mainly about looking at the player actions to predict the player league. In other
words, it focuses on the Player Behavior element.
The following is the additional information about the dataset:
Data Set Information:

• We aggregated screen movements into screen-fixations using a Salvucci &

Goldberg (2000) dispersion-threshold algorithm, and defined Perception
Action Cycles (PACs) as fixations with at least one action.
• Time is recorded in terms of timestamps in the StarCraft 2 replay file. When
the game is played on 'faster', 1 real-time second is equivalent to roughly
88.5 timestamps.
• List of possible game actions is discussed in Thompson, Blair, Chen, &
Henrey (2013)
