Task 1:

Dear Council,
I am writing to inform you of the proposed development. I was informed by a letter
from the developer informing us of their wish to build a street shopping mall on our
land.
You should note that the application of the plan requires the consent of local
residents. Therefore, you will consider more information before coming to a decision
on whether to grant planning permission. The quantity, size or nature of the premises
to be proposed must be certain, not speculative, and you should know what is the
proper use for the property of everyone whose family has lived over the centuries.
generation.
We all have our own priorities, but as you know this proposal requires the consent of
the residents in order to proceed. I'm not sure how I feel about this and would like
more information before we move on.
Thank you for your review,
Bob.

Task 2:
The use of private cars has increased more than ever, but this use of cars causes
many problems. In my opinion, to minimize those problems, we should not
encourage people to use cars.
Personal cars have become a very important part of every person's life. However, in
addition to the benefits, the risks that it brings are also quite a lot. Traffic in big cities
is a typical example. For example, traveling in Hanoi, the road from Co Linh Street to
Thanh Tri Bridge at rush hour contains thousands of private vehicles. This causes
traffic congestion and air pollution. Air quality is also getting worse as people are
driving more and more in densely populated areas that have seen an increase in car-
related pollution. Long-term exposure can lead to cancer and other respiratory
diseases, while high levels of carbon dioxide can contribute to global warming. Noise
pollution caused by car horns also has a significant impact on psychophysiological
health. Finally, traffic congestion due to the high volume of vehicles causes delays
and wasted time. Instead of crowded cars, you can take the bus because now there
are dedicated BRT routes for express buses and it is very time-saving.
I think the government should step in and discourage people from buying cars by
increasing fuel costs and imposing more regulations on gas consumption. If more
Vietnamese people no longer own cars, they will depend more on the public
transport system, which is a healthier choice for everyone.
In short, we should limit the use of personal cars to use public transport more often
to avoid unnecessary risks.
