Moon Phases: Cookie Lab

Procedure:
1. Gather seven cookies and Lab
sheet
2.Separate your cookies carefully, so one 1⁄2 has all the frosting, and
the other 1⁄2 no frosting.
3. Scrape off the frosting from the first cookie making a shape with
the frosting that resembles the phase of the moon you would like to
represent.
4. Repeat step 3 with the other cookies scraping the frosting to the
shape of the other 6 phases as seen from Earth.
5. You will need to create waxing and waning phases
6. Place the cookies in order on a paper plate and show where the
earth and sun would be. Make sure you label each of your phases.
7. Take a photo of your model and paste here:
