If you cling to original purity and fundamental liberation and consider

yourself a Buddha, identify with Chan and Tao, then you belong to the
naturalist outsiders.  If you cling to causality, the perfection of practice and
attainment of realization, then you belong to the outsiders who believe in
causes.  If you cling to existence, you belong to outsiders with the notion of
eternity.  If you cling to nonexistence, you belong to outsiders with the notion
of annihilation.  If you cling to both existence and nonexistence, you belong to
outsiders with extreme views.  If you cling to neither existence nor
nonexistence, then you belong to outsiders with a notion of emptiness.

You ignorant, stupid outsiders, right now simply do not create any notions of
Buddha or notions of nirvana.  When you entertain no views of being,
nonbeing, or whatever, and yet do not lack vision, this is called true seeing.  To
have no hearing at all yet not lack hearing is called true hearing. This is called
smashing down outside ways.  None of the bedevilments of the Two Vehicles
occur—this is called the great enlightening charm.  None of the bedevilments
of bodhisattvas occur—this is the unexcelled charm.  None of the
bedevilments of Buddhas occur—this is the peerless charm.
