RESOLUTION TO APPROVE TWO HOMES TO EXCEED

THE BUDGET CAP OF $24,500. PER HOUSEHOLD IN ORDER
TO ADDRESS EMERGENCY AND NECESSARY REPAIRS

WHEREAS, the Town of Middletown is the recipient of a Community

Development Block Grant for income eligible owner occupied home repair. The Town of
Middletown set the budget cap of $24,500. per household.

WHEREAS, two homes have come in over the Town allotted amount. One bid came in
at $29,350. Please approve the additional $4,850. to bring the project to code requirements.

In addition, we have one open spot due to an applicant dropping out of the
program, it needs to be filled ASAP due to our deadline is December 2021. We are
requesting that the board allows us to put this spot towards Berg’s project totaling $48,000.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Middletown Town Board has agreed
to increase the budget cap to $29,350. for Motalebi and $48,000. for Berg’s in order to address
these emergency and/or necessary repairs.
