Q) Difference Betn NGOs and NPOs?

Non-Governmental Organisation:-

1. NGOs are organisations that are supposed to work for public/social


welfare .

2. NGOs are formed by ordinary citizens that operate autonomously of


Government.

3. The reason why “Non-Government” is emphasised is that they are in a


sense supposed to expand the reach of Government and do the work that
the Government is unable to fulfil at the moment.

4. Governments depend a lot on such NGOs for day-to-day work and


understanding of the people.

Non-Profitable Organisation:-

1. NPOs are organisations which are formed to provide goods and services
to people and also operate on the principle that no member will receive
share profits or losses by the entity.

2. NPOs can generate surplus profits, revenue or any amount of money bu


the money has to stay within the organisation and to be used for
organisational purpose only.

3. NPOs are quite popular in business and commercial sectors and is an


efficient way to propagate a goal.

4. Non-Profitable Organisations are just like any other business with a


special clause.

Q) Difference Between Trust And


Foundation?
Foundation:-

1. Foundation is a charitable organisation that might not qualify as a public


charity by governmental standards.

2. It is often created through a Single Primary Donation from a Business


or an Individual.

3. Foundations generally fit in 2 Categories:-


a) Private Operating Foundation
b) Private Non-operating Foundation

Trust:-
1. Trust creates a legal relationship between Truster, settlor, Grantor.

2. The Trustee holds the right on the properties and assets.

3. People often use Trusts to add Legal Protection to the Truster’s


Assets.

4. Trusts come in Various Forms:-

a) A living trust holds assets during an individual’s lifetime and usually
manages and distributes them, in whole or in part, after death.
b) a testamentary trust specifies how an individual’s assets will be used
after their death.
