Game Day Buffer Strategy

Acute Game Day Load

Instructions
1. Add 3 sachets to one 500ml bottle of water and the other 2 sachets
to another 500ml bottle of water
2. Rip the label of the bottle of water to know that this is yours

For 3pm KO
Have x1 500ml bottle as soon as you wake up
Have x1 500ml bottle on the bus to the stadium
Take your preferred drink in the changing room

For 5.30pm KO
Have x1 500ml bottle before lunch
Have x1 500ml bottle on the bus to the stadium
Take preferred drink of choice in changing shed

For 7.30pm KO
Have x1 500ml 30 minutes before pre game meal
Have x1 500ml bottle on the bus to the stadium
Take preferred drink in changing shed

Chronic Loading (Dan To Explain who is more suitable for this)

Use on the 2 of the highest training intensity days and the


following rest day

Instructions
1. Add 3 sachets to one 500ml bottle of water and the other 2 sachets
to another 500ml bottle of water
2. Take 1 bottle immediately on rising
3. Drink the second bottle either 30 minutes before the second session
of the day (if there is one) or after the last training session before any
recovery drink*

If the players is a large sweater or has issues with hydration could add 1
sachet of electrolytes into this

Changing Room

Drink no more than one 500ml bottle of water or


Lucozade Sport

Before going out to warm up take 200ml dose of Phase


1 beta power

During Warm Up
Make an effort to drink

Back in from Warm up


1 SIS Smart Gel
Drink ½ 500ml bottle Hydroactive

Going out to game


Finish the other ½ of Hydro Active

Half time
Either 1 SIS isotonic Gel or 1 SIS Smart gel & your
choice of drink
