TOPICAL STUDIES-

PERFECTION;GODʼS HEART

Tonight by God's grace and the

privilege granted me by the
admins, I'll be sharing with us the
topic "Perfection - God's Heart"
purely based on the scriptures
we've studied so far.
We're all here to grow and learn
so I really don't mind
contributions from everyone at
the end of this "teaching". Thank
you.The first book of Genesis
explained the History of Creation
and how God made sure His
plans came out perfect.

Initially, the earth had no

structure, it had no form, it was
far from being perfect and God
wasn't going to have that going
on forever. He came into the
scene and created a perfect
world.
This is applicable to everyone. No
one starts off as being physically
perfect. An embryo isn't perfect,
but gradually, it's been formed
into a perfect structure that's
ready to be birthed.The first
demonstration of God's
Perfection in Genesis was the
calling forth of Light.
Light brought illumination, it
exposed the flaws, it showed the
dents, the blemishes and
everything that needed to be
fixed. Prior to this time, darkness
covered the earth, which was a
major flaw to the creation of the
World.
Scriptures say.. And God saw the
Light and that it was good...
But God didn't leave the Light to
mingle with darkness... The bible
said.. GOD DIVIDED/SEPARATED
THE LIGHT FROM DARKNESS.As
much as Light had power,
Darkness also had an influence.
This explains that... Until we are
ready to be separated from the
things that makes us flawed,
there's nothing called Perfection
in the Kingdom of God.

There was a need for God to

separate light from darkness...
Darkness was the real flaw...but
the arrival of Light made it
possible to lay darkness aside for
the glory of God's creation to
emerge.I've seen quite a number
of people say, "this is who I am...
This is me... Im not perfect, no
one is... You have to learn to deal
with this side of me" etc..
This kind of people talk from zero
understanding of what we've
been called to as GOD'S Image
here on earth.Until, like God, we
are ready to acknowledge the
dark part of our lives as flaws and
allow our hearts to be flooded by
Light, we cannot be separated or
Consecrated from those things
that flaw us.From verses 2
through to 25, God was on the
look out for PERFECTION in what
He created. Everytime God
created something.. Bible would
say "AND God saw that it was
good".

If it wasn't good, it would cease to

be. And if you noticed, God's
creation wasn't a trial and error.
The first time He does it is the
final. And it always came out
perfect.

Because darkness existed before

the creation of this world and God
was going to keep THAT Light in
charge.. HE NEEDED A BEARER..
A VESSEL.So what did God do?
He CREATED A PERFECT
REPLICA OF HIMSELF (MAN)
God wanted us to lack no part of
Him, so He involved the Spirit
part of Him and the Light (Son)
part of Him... So He said LET US
MAKE MAN IN OUR OWN
IMAGE... Together we exiled
darkness and brought the glory
forth... Let us make a perfect
replica of ourselves to dominate
earth and keep the darkness
away completely.This explains the
2 Timothy 3^16-17..

16..All scripture is given by the

inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness.
17..that the man of God may be
COMPLETE, thoroughly equipped
for every good work..

The whole essence of the Word

of God was that Man may be
COMPLETE, PERFECT, LACKING
NOTHING... By so doing, He is
able to keep darkness out. That is
the whole point.
God gave man dominion over
everything, gave him space, gave
him family, gave him food,
covered him with His glory and
did everything to keep man in the
position of Authority and as a
vessel of Light.

But was Man perfect? Yes. Man

was perfect, He had no flaw.

Scripture says God would come in

the cool of the day to commune
with man... God walked with him..
In Genesis 17^1, God told
Abraham, He said Walk before me
and be thou perfect...
But the whole time, I kept
wondering why God would plant a
tree in the Garden He didn't want
Adam and Eve to eat from.. Why
plant it in the first place? Was
God trying to put to test the
obedience of His Image on earth?
WAS He trying to see if Man had
in him the power to stay in
authority?
Don't forget, the devil that caused
the darkness was still lurking.
God didn't destroy him
remember.. And like Myles
Munroe would say... It is ILLEGAL
for any spirit to dwell on earth.
Man had to be implanted in a clay
body... And from this principle,
the devil had his way via a vessel..
The Serpent
All he had to do was make man
doubt God's Word.. The same
Word that brought Him (MAN)
into being.The Serpent said...
"Has God indeed said You shall
not eat of every tree of the
garden?"

Plainly, this was the devil trying to

check the full understanding of
God and His Word that Adam
AND Eve has.Even though
everything else was perfect for
Adam and Eve, a little slacking in
faith made them disobey God...
The consequence of this was that
Man lost fellowship with God..
The perfect relationship has been
broken just because of sin.
I understood that... No matter
how holy we are in our walk with
God, sin is always lurking.
It could come from a little unbelief
or slacking off on the promises of
God for our likes but if we would
stay in charge of our actions and
be intentional about sticking with
the commandment of God, we
can overcome whatever darkness
the devil tries to bring towards
our light.
A similar event was what
happened TO Jesus in Matthew 4
that we studied today
For every approach of the devil,
Jesus gave him back the Word of
God.
Jesus didn't struggle... JESUS
didn't try to communicate with
him or allow the devil implant
doubt in his flesh... NO. He gave
back to the Devil the same WORD
OF GOD that displaced him in the
first place.
God created a perfect world
through His Word...He can keep
you perfect through that same
Word.
Let's take a quick look at the life
of Noah.
Genesis 6^8 said.. BUT Noah
found grace in the eyes of the
Lord. Grace means Special
Favour... Why? What did Noah do
differently?

Verse 9 started his genealogy by

saying NOAH was a JUST MAN,
PERFECT IN HIS GENERATIONS.
Why?
NOAH WALKED WITH GOD.
If the first thing about us as
believers isn't that "WE ARE
WALKING WITH GOD" then we
are doing something wrong.
There's no believer without
something to believe in and hold
on to.. That's the Word of God.
Noah understood God's Word,
what He wanted and what He
didn't.. NOAH was faithful in
sticking with God's Word.
This is evident in him when God
explained in details how he
should go about building the ark
God was able to make such
description because Noah was
known for following the details of
God's Word to the latter
God had to clear off the world
with the flood at some point
because many people derailed
from the Word of God and
followed the darkness that's been
lurking in their hearts.

This tells us that... Not paying

attention to God's Word makes us
vulnerable to the wiles of the
Devil.

Genesis 6:12 says.. "So God

looked upon the earth, and it
was indeed corrupt, for all
flesh had corrupted their way
of earth".

The understanding of who God

made man to be is gone and
everyone is blindly following the
ways of darkness. All as a result
of disobedience to the Word of
God.
But because God longed for a
perfect relationship with man, He
longed for a perfect World, He
had to do something... What was
that? The Flood.
From a perspective, this was
God's justice to a wicked world.
But was God pleased to just clear
off the people He created in His
own image and likeness? No.

Genesis 6^6 says.. GOD was sorry

that he had made man on earth
and He was grieved in His heart.

I really felt bad when I read this

verse.

What God longed for, perfection,

couldn't be found. Instead, it was
corruption
From another perspective, I see
the FLOOD as a shadow of the
BLOOD OF JESUS.
God could have made everyone
to sleep the sleep of death, but
instead He sent a flood that
covered the whole earth...
Including the animals, the fishes,
the ark,etc and cleaned out
everything once and for all.
Scripture says...everything was
destroyed... Everything that
harboured corruption, everything
was cleared and ON THE
SEVENTH MONTH (Gen 8^4), the
Ark Rested
Just like how God rested on the
SEVENTH day.
A denotation of perfection.
Noah sent out a dove... This same
dove represented God's spirit
that descended on Jesus at His
Baptism.

This dove went out thrice and

finally brought back a freshly
plucked Olive leaf.. A sign of
Renewal, refreshing and
perfection OF God's cleansing of
the earth
How does this apply to us?
Matt 5^48...Jesus said.. BE YE.
PERFECT AS YOUR HEAVENLY
FATHER IS PERFECT

The evidence of our sonship in

Christ is that we demonstrate
PERFECTION.
In Words, IN action, in our
relationships with people, in our
Conversations and our life of
Love.
But has anyone attained
perfection other than Christ?
We're on track.
But is it possible? YES
Apostle Paul said in Philipians
3^12...
He said

NOT THAT I HAVE ALREADY

ATTAINED, OR AM ALREADY
PERFECTED, BUT I PRESS ON,
THAT I MAY LAY HOLD OF THAT
FOR WHICH CHRIST JESUS HAS
ALSO LAID HOLD OF ME
There's a desire that should burn
constantly in us... It's the desire
to be perfected.
Colossians 4^12
The B part says... that you may
stand PERFECT AND COMPLETE
in all the will of God

There's a mandate of God upon

everyone. It's the core of our
whole being..
To the PERFECT.
We are the Light of the World but
until we are PERFECT or DAILY
RENEWING OUR
COMPLETENESS, we cannot
keep the darkness out.

You can't keep the darkness away

if you contain in your self iota of
dark works

When we get born again,

everything becomes new.. Like
that freshly plucked Olive leaf...
Our lives are void of old works...
But Jesus said in a parable, (I'll
paraphrase) for us to not be filled
back with darkness, we must not
be empty
We must fill ourselves with The
Word of God...Colossians 1^9-14
explains this so well. Please read

For this reason, since the day we

heard about it, we have not
stopped praying for you, asking
[specifically] that you may be
filled with the knowledge of His
will in all spiritual wisdom [with
insight into His purposes], and in
understanding [of spiritual
things], so that you will walk in a
manner worthy of the Lord
[displaying admirable character,
moral courage, and personal
integrity], to [fully] please Him in
all things, bearing fruit in every
good work and steadily growing
in the knowledge of God [with
deeper faith, clearer insight and
fervent love for His precepts];
COLOSSIANS 1^9 - 10 AMP
The Word of God builds in us the
virtues of God. The Word grooms
us into becoming EXACTLY LIKE
GOD (THE original Plan)
As I round up, if you have all
things in check and LOVE is
missing, you're still gon be
declared IMPERFECT.. you know
why?

Colossians 3^14 says..

BUT above all these things, PUT

ON LOVE, which is the BOND of
PERFECTION.
Paul said Put on Love.
John said God is Love.

That is... When you put on Love,

you put ON God.. And because
God is perfect, you are seen as
PERFECT...
The original plan.

Devil sees you and stands aside

because he cannot comprehend
you. John 1^5.
As powerful as the Word is,
Prayer is also very important

Prayer is two way. You speak, God

speaks. Eventually you begin to
speak like God.. HIS accents rubs
off on you, His aura overshadows
you.
But the Word of God has the
power to stir you up to pray.. God
will not tell you anything that is
not backed up by His Written
Word.
When you live a life of word study,
Prayer, Love and demonstration
of everything the Word says...
You're making God's heart
scream Joy... Because why?
You're on a Road of Perfection
Our perfection is complete when
we see Jesus and take up a new
incorruptible body in place of this
corruptible flesh that's only for a
while.
Shalom everyone.
Thank you for following.

I'm thankful.
