NARRATIVE
At the above date and time Iwas dispatched to a report of assault in progress on an eastbound UTA Bus at 190
East 3300 South (UTA Route 33, Bus 12021). Larrived, and made contact with involved males, identified as
Nathaniel kenycr TS, 1 TE Uso making contact, MMMM stated he did not
know who Mr. Kenyon was, and was not interacting with him at the time of the incident. He stated that for reasons
unknown to him, Mr. Kenyon attacked him, and punched him in the head numerous times (photo of injuries
attached to case report)
Ithen spoke with Mr. Kenyon who stated he made mistake, and punched a Marine. Mr. Kenyon then began
saying he had been attacked with heroin, and had too much of the drug was in his blood. He stated the amount of
heroin in his system made it impossible for him to control himself. Mr. Kenyon made several conflicting comments
The first was he was very sorry for attacking The second was a desire to attack IMMMMacain. | asked
Mr. Kenyon if he was capable of remaining non violent while I spoke with him? Mr. Kenyon replied he was not, due
to the amount of heroine in his system. After Mr. Kenyon stated he was Incapable of controling his desire for
further violence, I asked him to surrender to handcuffing, which he did without incident.
Iwas assisted by Officers Gleason, Holliday, Jorgenson, and Sgt. Duval (UTA Police). While I gathered case
information, Officers Jorgenson and Holliday collected witness statements from INNS UTA Operator I

While I gathered available information, Mr. Kenyon began to state repeatedly that [EMhad surreptitiously
injected him with heroin, Mr. Kenyon refused to expand on this statement by including why he believed J
had injected him. He also did not offer additional details concerning how and where the injection took place. Mr.
Kenyon quickly migrated from being sorry for assaulting ML to believing [EE had attacked him. This
pattern repeated itself over and over throughout our interaction. Mr. Kenyon also stated several times that il

a number of people were involved
28After BEBE informed me he wanted to press charges against Mr. Kenyon for assault, I determined I would
arrest for assault, and request Mr. Kenyon be held at an area hospital for evavation.
asked him if he had anything on his person which could injure the medical responders who were preparing to
transport him, or the medical staff at the hospital. Mr. Kenyon stated he didn't have any weapons, but stated he
was transporting drugs in his backpack. He then told me not to worry, It was just a little weed.
A search of Mr, Kenyon's backpack revealed a bag filled with a leafy green substance, which had the appearance of
the synthetic marijuana commonly referred to as Spice. I performed a chemical t
st of the substance, using a
marijuana field test kit, which returned a negative result for marijuana. I later booked the substance in to the
Mr. Kenyon was issued a citation to appear in the South Salt Lake City Justice Court for assault and possession of
synthetic marijuana

Closed with adult arrest.
