What country is known as the sugar bowl of the world?

The sugar tariff in Colombia is 16% for third countries, 13.6% for Brazil and 0% for Peru,
Ecuador and Bolivia. For its part, Colombia has earned first place in world sugar production,
with approximately 15 tons per hectare per year, favored by climate conditions and investments
in science and technology.
According to the Association of Sugar Cane Growers of Colombia (Asocaña), last year 2.09
million tons of sugar was produced in the country.
