1.)What are the elements of art?


Answer:
The elements of art wherein included within an art piece to help the artist
communicate. The elements include line, shape, form, space, color, texture and value with the
additions of mark making, and materiality.

2.)In two-dimention artworks such as paintings, cite elements and principles of art that when
utilized in the composition of artwork, will help simulate or suggest the three-dimensional
space?
Answer:
While three-dimensional forms, such as sculpture, have volume inherently, volume can
also simulated, or implied, in a two-year dimensional work such as a painting. The visual art
terms separate into the elements and principles of art. The elements of art are color, form,
line, shape, space, and texture. The principles of art are scale, proportion, unity, variety,
rhythm, mass, shape, space, balance, volume, perspective and depth.
3.) What is the relevance of the elements and principles of art in the study of art and it's
products?
Answer:
The principles of art represent how the uses the elements of art to create an effect and to help
convey the artist's intent. A person cannot create art without utilizing at least a few of them.
And knowing what the elements of art are, it enables us to describe what an artist has done,
analyse what is going on in a particular piece and communicate our thought and findings using
common language.
